This is one of the first books I have read where reading was such a big hobby for children. I also found this book unique because of how the main characters loved to read. Read-alouds allow teachers to ask guided higher-level thinking questions for whole group discussion. I thought this book would be great for not only a literature circle, but for a read aloud. I feel like it is important for students to read books that grab their attention and keep them wanting more. I was drawn to the mystery of the unknown and could not stop reading until I was one step closer to solving the puzzle presented within the letter. I have to start off by saying, "Wow, what a great book!" The Parker Inheritance grabbed me in after reading the first page.
