Creature depictions are soulful and the plot is riveting. Weeks after Gregor finally returns from his journey to hunt down the Bane, Boots is returned by the crawlers and Dulcet arrives in order to bathe her and tend to her possible injures."Gregor's luminous, supremely absorbing quest takes place in a strange underground land of giant cockroaches, rideable bats, and violet-eyed humans. While watching over her and some Underlander children, Temp joins and they all begin to play dress-up with him. Months later, Gregor leaves Boots in Dulcet's care while he goes off to train. When he and the other survivors finally return to Regalia, Dulcet takes Boots and reassures him that they can cure her illness.
Later, before Gregor and the other "Questers" depart, Dulcet gives him supplies for Boots and wishes him luck on his journey. When Gregor later asks Dulcet how the palace's water system works, she happily explains, unaware that he is intending to use this information to escape. After introductions, Dulcet leads the siblings to bathe before making their way to the High Hall, where she oversees the siblings meeting Vikus' wife, Solovet, and Luxa's cousin, Henry. She is very caring and sweet, but can be embarrassed easily.ĭulcet makes her debut once Vikus brings Gregor and Boots to the palace.
